Your career journey starts earlier than you might think.
You’ll have access to career advisors who help you explore possibilities, build a résumé, prepare for interviews, and connect with alumni and employers. You’ll have opportunities to form or join student clubs with classmates in your discipline to host speaking and networking events. Along the way, you’ll develop the communication, time management, team work, leadership, and problem-solving skills employers look for in every field.

Internships
Real-World Experience
Internships help turn classroom learning into practical experience.
You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with organizations across the region, including companies like Bose, Fidelity, New Balance, Staples, and TJX, as well as schools, hospitals, government agencies, and nonprofits. Many internships offer stipends or financial support, helping ensure you can take advantage of these opportunities while gaining valuable experience in your field.
And for some, like Accounting Graduate Gerald Fernandez, your internship can lead to a job offer prior to graduation. That was his experience following a summer internship at Amazon HQ in Seattle, where he now works full-time as a Financial Analyst.
Centers & Institutes
Framingham State’s centers and institutes create opportunities to explore your interests outside the classroom.
At the Danforth Art Museum, students connect with contemporary art through exhibitions, internships, and creative programs. The Christa McAuliffe Center brings science and space exploration to life, with immersive programs where students often serve as mentors and interns.

Studying abroad gives you the chance to experience the world as part of your education.
FSU offers more than 100 study abroad opportunities in locations across Europe, Australia, and beyond. Programs are designed to fit into your academic plan so you can earn credit toward your degree while exploring new cultures and perspectives.
And because financial aid often applies, studying abroad can be more accessible than you may expect.
Through the help of my advisor and department chair, along with guidance from the study abroad office, I was able to complete a semester in London while graduating on time. I am a firm believer that studying abroad will change your life and will open doors you never knew existed.”
